Pulse as Event

Submitted · Under Review

This study examines pulse as an event rather than as a rhythmic unit or metrical structure. Within the Sound as Event framework, pulse is treated as a temporal decision structure that governs when sound may occur, rather than how it should sound.

Core Claim

Temporal organization can emerge through initiation, interruption, and spacing without requiring periodic repetition. Pulse is an organizing condition of occurrence—addressing when sound may occur.
